Long trips with kids ahhhhhh....

My friend Virginia and I took a trip to Sierra Vista for a wedding that my youngest was in. It was a little over 3 hours in the car with 4 kids. So right before we left we got drinks and snacks. Well not paying attention, all of the kids got Code Red.  AHHHH, what were we thinking we get about 40 mins out  and all of them start screaming that they either have to pee or poop and the next exit is 8 miles away. So they all are begging us to take them to the bathroom. So we used GPS to find the closest bathroom and it said that after the exit that it was 3 miles. It took us 4 miles then 3 miles, finally I see a McD's along the road and we stopped. Fianlly back on the road and the kids are all jumpy cause of the soda. About 2 hours in they fall asleep, we were rejoicing so  snapped a picture. It only lasted like 20 mins, then they were up again and ready to go. It was great. The way back they crashed, thankfully.

The Adventures if Jen and I

My best friend and I Went to a wedding on Sat and had a blast. It of corse was one of the hottest day yet and WINDY!!! We were trying to take pictures and our hair kept getting blown everywhere. We still had fun, even though there was a rude lady who thought we were crashing the party. Really I mean come on, who goes to a park in Chruch clothes on a Sat unless there is an event. She glared at us the whole time till we left, even after she saw Jen hugging the bride and the brides family. Some people, of course after she completely insulted us, I did have a little fun and made a comment about how we go around town looking for weddings to crash. If that is what we did we would have choosen one inside. Oh well all well that ends well and that night ended well.

10 Years and Counting

Today is my 10 year anniversary. Wow 10 years of marriage. Can you believe it, I can't. In today's society, we are an old married couple. Ha Ha Ha, I am only 30. We are a young married couple. It is very sad that when someone asks me how long I have been married, they are shocked. Yes marriage is hard work. you have to stick it out. But I would never change it though. I love my husband and yes there are time that I wish he was like someone else. Then I remember hings that person did that would drive me crazier then anything my hunny has ever done. Yes we both drive each other crazy, but we love each other. I think that it is funny that they call the first year or so of marriage the honeymoon years. Not to me, those were the HARDEST, but girls they get better. You have to remember that you have to learn to live with this new person. I can not stand when someone tells a newly married person, "just wait, it gets worse". What a way to jade someones view of God's plan for us. I love being married. Happy Anniversary Chris!

Nightmare Passenger on the bus.

My city has a great free bus system. It tends to get VERY crowded. So there other day my husband and I took the bus. On the way home we were very lucky to get on and get two seats next to each other. The bus came to a stop to let some people on and now we were extremely crowded and the lady next to me decided at the last second (did not pull the cord to get off or anything) to get off. She stood up and starting walking to the front. The driver did not know that she was getting off, just thought she was one of the 10 people standing up and started driving. She falls on to another persons lap. Well apparently she has NO manners. She starts cursing up a storm, yelling at the top of her lungs and shoving people out of the way. Then before the bus driver can even open the door, she starts kicking the bus door and damages the door. They had to get a new bus for us. I hope she realizes that they recorded the whole thing and she may have to pay for damages. Man I wish I had my camera up so that I could have recorded it. What is wrong with people these days. they have no common courtesy anymore. Did she not realize that it is his all her fault.

Organ Stop Pizza

Went to Organ Stop Pizza tonight for dinner. WOW, Was I blown away. I was not excpecting the show I got. IT was the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. When I walked in, I was bummed for a second cause I thought it was geared more towards adults and I had my 3 kids and my cousin Ari. Was I wrong! The kids were dancing and clapping. They loved it. The organ The Mighty Wurlitzer was HUGE!!!! It was allover the resturant. There are 2 stories of seat, we sat on the top. It is so cool to watch. They have all these differnt lights that go off
and the differant areas that the music come from. What a great show it was and the food was actally pretty good, I was surprised. Beware though, if you go they only take case or check so be prepared. I think this a place that the whole family will enjoy.

Zane Ayden Machtemes-Bernal

Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him. Ps 127:3.
My Uncle Rene and his wife Trisha had a baby boy this morning at 9:44. Zane Ayden was a whopping 7lbs 3oz and 22 inches long. I went to go see her and was able to hold and rock him for about half an hour. I love little babies. I am so glad that God blessed him with a little boy. They have a little girl, Ari, she is 2.

Proud Daddy and his little boy!

Best Friends

Best Friends, hmmmm what to say about them. I met mine at church about 11 years ago. When I first saw Virginia I thought that she was this Cheer leader type that I hated in high school. LOL!!!! She is soooo not that type. It is funny how different we are, yet at the same time how much alike we are. She always tells me that she hates talking on the phone and I have to remind her that every time we talk, the phone call last at least an hour. It is so cool to have someone like that to talk to. Every time we see each other we are sooo happy. When we got in fight one time and stopped talking to each other, it was so funny cause when we started talking again we had to laugh cause we both would cry to our husband about how much we missed the other ( I mean really cry, with tears). I think that God is such a wonderful God that he can get two people and match them like that. Even our kids are best friends. Our daughter Kerri and Ivy can spend a week together and will bawl when we have to separate them. I do not know what I would do if I did not have Virginia. Jen, I know that you are going to hate that I have sat here and gushed about you, but I was sitting here thinking what a great day we had today and I had to write something. Just remember, you are the one that is always telling me to blog (HEE HEE). You got it! I am so glad that you are my friend!

Really, Come on Really!

We all know Jeff Foxworthy and his "You might be a redneck if", well I have never really seen something that would make me really want to say that, untill today. My friend and I went to Circle K today and over the fence was a "pimped" out trailer. The owners had put stucco on the out side. I mean come on people, really? I just sat there and laughed. If you really this and have a "You might be a redneck" moment share it. We could all use a laugh!

My Brother the College Graduate

OK, OK I know that the picture is not that great, but I have to talk about him, because I am bursting with pride. I will try not to stumble ( get it ha ha) and if you think I am being to proud forgive me. My younger brother David is only 17 and graduated With an Associate of Applied Science from Yavapai Community College. He graduates High School 2 weeks after. I just think it is so great that he worked his butt of to get to the point to where he is. I am so proud of you Dave and Congrates again. I love you. Love your Big Sis

Heroes of the past

I saw this wall at Luke Air Force base and I had to get a picture. It reminds us of a group of individuals that received the highest honor that our country gives those who have fought for us in the first and second world wars. I get teary eyed any time that I think about the sacrifice that any person who has joined the military has made to keep us save. I would love to say thank you to each and every one that has ever and will ever serve our great country.

Thank you to all those who are serving right now!

Maternity Clothes and Luke Air Force Base

A jet in the hanger

With my sister being pregnant and in need of maternity clothes, I decided to see if there was anyone on craigslist that could help me out. It seems like God wanted to help me out a little , give me a little faith boost. I got 1 response from a lady (Sarah) who was going to sell her clothes, but decided to give some of them to me (what a blessing). Then I found out she is all the way in Glendale on Luke Air Force base ( about 30 miles away). I do not have a car, there was NO way that I was going to be able to go. I texted my sister and told her I was sorry. I got a response from her later that night, well I was talking to a friend (Diane) from church. I told her what was going on and she tells me "I have always wanted to see Luke Air Force base, I will take you". Oh my goodness, what a GREAT friend (reminds me of a country song about finding out who your true friends are LOL). So I called Sarah and told her that I found someone who could give me a ride out there and that they wanted to see the base. She tells me that the base is locked down, because of Bin Laden's death. I was so bummed! Then Sarah brightened my day by telling me that she could take us on a tour if we wanted. WOW, so cool now we have our own tour guide. We had a great time! We saw jets taking off and in the hanger. We saw jets from the past. Kerrianne was so excited she would whisper to me "Mom, I see army people" . It was so cute. What a great day.

International Night

So This last week, we had conferance at my Church (The Door) and it was a great and powerful week. We had 3 morning sermons and 1 night service. It was exciting cause not only did we see God move, but we also got to see friends that we have not seen in a while. This picture was on International night, we sent out 2 International works. The couple on the left are already Pastoring in Honduras and they are turning their church over to a national and are going to another city in Honduras. The couple on the right are going to Bangkok, Thiland. They are the third work that we have planted their. Our Pastor says that he wants more then one there cause it has so many people (around 17 million). Thank God that he is doing mighty works through our church. We also sent out 5 domestic churches out as well! Great things are happening!

What a day!

Wow, Today was BUSY!!!! Jen (Virginia Griffin Revoir) came over today and we went to Ace Hardware, Frys, Sam's Club, Starbuck. Then back to her house to put her grocery away. Then to get the kids and came back to my house dropped them off with Chris Farnsworth then back to Frys. Well we get out of Frys to find out we have a flat tire on her HUGE van and she had pulled up the the front of Frys to pick me up. So we are sitting there trying to change a tire. She had to crawl under the van to get the spare, I loosened the lug nuts and finally a guy walks up and asks us if we need help. Of course we say YES!!!! He changes our tire and we are back on the road to get back to the house. We get back to house to the 9 kids and 4 hungry men. First though we had to figure out how to get Netflix on the wii and had to fix my modem. After an hour long call with the tech support SUCCESS! Now it is 8pm and we start making pizza for 15 people and we had to make a pizza with soy cheese. After making pizza for 2 hours we finally sat down.... Just kidding we started making our own laundry soap. but now it is done and I am sitting! Thank God. She ran me ragged.

Jen trying to crawl under the van to get the spare

I was trying to get the jack to work.

The Frys girl finally crawled under the van to get the jack in the right spot.

The wonderful man that changed our tire!
